The Irish model and star is set to enter the Australian jungle as a late entry with Reverend Richard Coles.

Her appearance will mark the second time a contestant from the hit ITV dating show took part – with Olivia Attwood appearing in the 2022 series but had to drop out after 48 hours due to concerns she had anaemia, as well as low sodium and potassium levels.

Amy and Maura both appeared on the same series of Love Island in 2019, where Maura ended up finishing in fourth place with dancer Curtis Pritchard.

Speaking exclusively to Express Online, Amy said: “I don’t know about her fears, but I know that she throws herself into everything, and she’s real. So I think she’s going to be amazing.”

In recent news, Maura has admitted to have done the “opposite” of preparing herself for jungle life as she went on a booze binge in Las Vegas before jetting off Down Under.

The 33 year old told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Honestly, I’m not good… I feel like I’m in ‘The Hangover’. I’ve even got the shakes.

“I have no clue what time it is, I don’t know where I am. I’ve done the opposite of preparing myself [for the jungle].”

Amy has recently taken part in Virgin Media O2’s ongoing “Swerve the Scammers” campaign, after she fell victim to a scam which saw more than £5,000 drained from her bank account.

The harrowing experience has left Amy passionate about spreading the word on scams and exposing their tactics to help keep others safe.

Speaking about the campaign, she said: “I know first-hand just how sophisticated nasty fraudsters can be, that’s why I’ve teamed up with O2 and AI Scambaiter Daisy to take the fight back to them, keeping them busy with calls going nowhere.

“But whilst I love a wind up, it’s scary to see the lengths scammers go to steal everything from passwords to bank details regardless of who they’re speaking to. Whether your young or old, anyone can be a victim of a scam that’s why we can never be too careful when it comes to unexpected calls or texts.”

To help make life easier for customers, O2 has pulled together a new webpage offering tips, tricks and advice so they know what to look out for. Visit to find out more information.
