The Queen, 52, and the King, 56, were photographed wearing smart attire in the Great Hall of Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg in Copenhagen.
The three photographs, which includes one of the couple side by side, comes just months before the one-year anniversary of Frederik’s accession to the throne on January 14 this year.
It is the first time civil portraits of the couple have been taken, with the King wearing a navy three-piece suit with a white shirt and a satin pink tie.

This is considered to be a key move by Queen Mary after the couple were , which began after it was alleged that there had been a romance between her husband, who was then Crown Prince Frederik, and Mexican celebrity Genoveva Casanova, during his trip to Spain.
Pictures taken from the time showed Frederik with Casanova, 47, in Madrid as they both attended a Pablo Picasso exhibition.
They were also seen taking a walk in a park together and having dinner just the two of them.
At the time, the King had been on a trip with friends and was going to accompany a friend on a visit to the exhibition ‘Picasso, the sacred and the profane’ at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum.

However, according to Hola magazine, the friend became ill with -19, with Casanova asked to accompany Frederik to the art gallery instead.
Casanova denied the rumours of the alleged affair at the time by stating: “We are friends and the photos prove nothing.
“I want to make it very clear that I have no relationship with him, as some suggest.”
