star has been tipped to return to form under after apparently being “let down” by former boss . The Brazilian has struggled to assert his authority on the pitch this season and was during his team’s 3-0 defeat to at the start of September.
Casemiro joined United in a £70million deal from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022 and enjoyed a fine maiden campaign in a Red Devils shirt.
But his performances fell off a cliff last season and he has failed to get back to his best this time around.
Casemiro will be aiming to impress his new manager in the coming weeks. And United icon Louis Saha thinks the midfielder still has a bright future at the club.
After being asked during an interview with Betfred whether Casemiro is returning to his best form, Saha explained: “Yes, I think so. You could see how much he was being exposed in ’s system and ultimately, the tactics were wrong.
“Casemiro was being asked to do too much and it’s difficult for him to do well without the right players around him. It doesn’t matter how many trophies he’s won, he was going to struggle in that system.

“I believe he was let down. I’m a big defender of him because he never complains and he’s aware of when he’s not playing well.
“With the right balance in the midfield and the right positioning, we’re going to see Casemiro playing with a different dimension. He has the right quality and leadership that this team needs.”
Casemiro has started six of United’s last seven matches and bagged two goals as the north west giants thrashed Leicester 5-2 in the Carabao Cup earlier this month.
But he was told to quit the by icon Jamie Carragher in May following a dismal display against Crystal Palace towards the end of the last campaign.

“I think Casemiro should know tonight that he should only have another three games left at the top level,” Carragher told Sky Sports. “The next two league games and the [FA] Cup final, then he should be thinking, ‘I need to go to the MLS or Saudi’.
“This has to stop because we are watching one of the greats of the modern time. I always remember the saying, ‘Leave the football before the football leaves you’. The football has left him. At this top level, he needs to call it a day at this level and move.
“The level of that player, he should not be putting himself through this. He is too good of a player to be putting in a performance like that being laughed at by Crystal Palace. He needs to call it a day.”
