One of ’s most famous royal residences has been left unrecognisable over the last few days as
, the Royal Family’s most loved Scottish residence, has been dusted in snow this week, with staff having issued a warning to all visitors.
On the official Balmoral page on Friday, a staff member said the castle was going to open later than usual. They wrote: “Please note that we will once again be opening later today at 11 AM.
“While we do our best to clear the pathways, we kindly ask all visitors to be cautious as some areas may still be slippery. Please watch your footing and stay safe during your visit.”
Over the winter, the grounds and gardens of the castle are open for visitors to enjoy along with the Mews Gift Shop and the restaurant on a select number of days.

Admission to the estate is free during this time of the year but does not include access to the castle.
