Caitlin Clark and Tom Brady.
WNBA sensation has been given a heads up about Tom Brady’s intense competitive nature as they prepare to compete in the RSM Classic Pro-Am this week. The event is another golfing challenge for the basketball star, who recently made waves at the Annika Pro-Am in Florida.
However, this time around, Clark will be squaring off against one of the greatest sports icons of all time – and one known for his unmatched ambition. Seven-time Super Bowl champion and current Fox Sports NFL commentator Brady, 47, was spotted teeing off with world No. 5 golfer Ludvig Aberg.
Golfing greats Jordan Spieth and Keegan Bradley have previously commented on Brady’s winning mentality, giving Clark an idea of what she might be up against if she faces the former New England Patriots star on the course.
As Clark continues her journey to become a seasoned golfer, she may first need to contend with Brady’s fierce desire to win. Former champion Spieth once shared a story about playing a round with the legendary quarterback, revealing that his hopes for a relaxed game and a pleasant lunch didn’t quite pan out.
Spieth recounted that during a game at Augusta National with Brady, the match was tied going into the 18th hole, but the star came out on top. However, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player didn’t take the loss well.
Spieth shared an amusing tale about Brady’s intense competitiveness during a relaxed lunch at Augusta, as he recounted to renowned sports commentator Dan Patrick. “You’re supposed to go in at Augusta and have lunch and hang out, and he didn’t say a word to me for like an hour and a half,” Spieth said. “I feel like I’m very, very competitive. He is the most competitive human being I’ve ever met.”
Bradley, a die-hard fan of Brady who encountered the NFL icon on a holiday trip to the Bahamas, vividly described his humbling experience on the golf course with Brady on GOLF’s Subpar podcast. “I win the first hole. I go, ‘TB, I’ll give you a buyout if you want,'” Bradley explained.

“I just start chirping. And then he runs off and plays the next 14 holes in four under par. Beats me six and five. He’s really good. I couldn’t believe it. Those competitive juices kicked in and he smoked me.”
Rising sensation Clark, who is known for her love of golf, paired up with Zach Johnson for a notable round in Florida, leaving fans buzzing with her performance. After showcasing her skills in the gleaming Floridian sun, she was questioned about her ultimate dream golfing foursome.
Caitlin Clark plays during the Pro-Am prior to The RSM Classic 2024 at Sea Island Resort on November 20, 2024 in St Simons Island, Georgia.
She chose world No. 1 Nelly Korda, her Pro-Am playing partner, and Golden State Warriors legend Stephen Curry for her dream team.
For the final spot, she cheekily suggested: “Any professional golfer.

“So I can get free lessons. Got to take advantage of what you can.”
However, if she crosses paths with Brady at the event, his fierce competitive spirit might just secure him a place in Clark’s ideal lineup.
