, 42, has bestowed a new nickname on contestant Dean McCullough, 32, inspired by a memorable incident on the show.

Rebekah, herself a participant in the 2017 edition of the show, penned a biting critique of Dean’s over-the-top reactions to the trials he’s faced.

In his first trial, the Sinister Sarcophagus, the presenter hastily opted out after securing only two stars.

He was subsequently voted to undertake another trial, Drown in the Dumps, alongside fellow competitor GK Barry, but the pair failed to earn any stars.

“Oh, Dean, I really hoped that he would succeed last night because I didn’t really want to have to talk to him again, and I feel a bit bad. I have to say, I’m not surprised at all that he’s been chosen to do another trial,” Rebekah wrote in The Sun, before proceeding to assign him a fresh moniker, reports .

“The public have identified their weak link in Dean – or ‘teabag Dean’ as I’ll now refer to him – and they are truly testing him to see if he will break,” she continued.

Rebekah’s comment likely alludes to a startling episode in the camp where Dean appeared to reveal that he’d violated the show’s rules by smuggling in tea bags.

Dean may have overlooked the omnipresent cameras when he offered Loose Women star Jane Moore a cup of tea, but the moment was swiftly noted by hosts Ant and Dec.

Dec commented on the surprising revelation, confirming that Dean could certainly anticipate punishment for sneaking home comforts into the jungle.

Rebekah Vardy didn’t hold back her thoughts on Dean, saying: “I know the trial with Grace was really tough, but his screaming made me wanna scream too.

And not with him, but at him. Come on, just get a grip and get on with it! The hunger is really gonna start kicking in soon and, if Dean messes up Lethal Lab, I think the campmates might actually put him in the pot for dinner.”

The candid WAG didn’t stop there, adding: “I get that he might have been petrified doing that trial, but everyone knows full well what this show’s about. You know what you’re gonna have to endure when you sign up for it. What is the point in doing it if you’re just gonna play chicken? It just doesn’t make any sense to me.”

It’s not the first time Rebekah has targeted Dean over his behaviour on ”. In the show’s opening episode, he opted to team up with Coleen Rooney instead of Radio 1’s Melvin Odoom.

Vardy was scathing about Dean’s choice to align with her rival, venting: “Dean, Dean and his cosying up to Coleen. It’s so very obvious and, believe me, it is going to get tiresome. He absolutely loves to talk about Wagatha and when he does he knows he’s going to get airtime from it,” and later branded him “irritating.”
