In recent happenings around the Dales, Moira (portrayed by Natalie J Robb) has been under the surgeon’s knife due to a brain tumour. Viewers might remember that earlier this year, Moira received a prognosis of a meningioma brain tumour.
Cain, enacted by Jeff Hordley, finds himself reeling from the situation, with Wednesday’s poignant segment (November 20) seeing him break down as Moira went into surgery.
Having sunk a bottle of liquor, Cain’s distress boiled over when he ran into Jimmy King (played by Nick Miles), leading to a hostile clash that left Jimmy battered. The intensity didn’t stop there.
Soon after, Cain discovered an unsuspecting Ruby (Beth Cordingly) in the garage, taken aback to find her brother-in-law instead of expecting him to be at Moira’s bedside, reports .

A confounded Cain probed, “Why you in my garage”, which she countered with “Someone I wasn’t bothered about seeing.” Their encounter swiftly escalated to a passionate kiss. Another sequence showed the pair readjusting their clothes, hinting at their brief rendezvous escalating further.
Viewers were not pleased with Cain and Rubys steamy liaison, but some deduced it would only be a short time before the secret comes to light, assured theyve pegged which villager will spill the beans.

Steph swept into the Dales last week for a long-overdue family reunion, marking over a decade since she saw her parents. Tensions were palpable between Steph and her parents, Ruby and Caleb, a relationship strained by her turbulent childhood and being sent away to boarding school.
