Former star Natalie Cassidy has claimed that should have been the one to leave the competition last week, not . The Welsh singer was the latest to be eliminated on Saturday after judges chose to save in the dance-off.
After being placed at the bottom of the leader board and receiving a harsh four out of 10 from Craig Revel Horwood, Pete, 36, was shocked to find he had been saved by the public vote. Discussing the latest Strictly result on the Off The Telly podcast, Natalie attributed Pete’s survival to his strong fan base and not his dancing skills.
“I do think Pete should’ve gone before him [Wynne],” she stated, to which her co-host Joanna Page agreed. The actress went on to say: “I’m just talking now about dancing, I mean I’m not a professional dancer, but Pete knows that.”

Noting Pete’s reaction to being saved, she added: “Did you see Pete’s face? Bless his heart! He genuinely could not believe that he was still in.
“And that isn’t made up, you can tell he is shocked. He’s almost embarrassed to still be in it.”
Remarking on the quality of his performance, Joanna added: “That dance, it wasn’t as good as his one last week, that dance I don’t think that was very good.”
Natalie concluded with a nod to Pete’s popularity and claimed his attention-grabbing pink PVC trousers may have also helped with the votes.

Pete and his dance partner Jowita Przystal’s latest routine was a Cha Cha to I’m Too Sexy by Right Said Fred.
During the performance, the reality star channelled a train inspector before stripping off his jacket to reveal a pink shirt and tight PVC trousers.
The pair’s efforts were awarded 27 out of 40 from the judges, who had mixed feelings about his dance moves.
Shirley Ballas said she found the dance “very entertaining” and confessed: “I don’t think I’ll forget this evening for as long as I live.”
Motsi Mabuse admitted she “loved it for all the wrong reasons” but wished “wished the dancing had supported it”.
Craig Revel Horwood, known for his tough critique, added: “You fought the dance, un-coordinated, behind the beat, bent leg but huge fun.”
This weekend, the dancing duo are set to take on a Tango to Phil Collins’ Easy Lover.
