Amanda Holden and Hollie Rose Hughes at the Wicked Premiere in London
has candidly discussed the challenges of juggling her professional life with family duties after a recent incident left her daughter Hollie giving her the cold shoulder.
Speaking on Heart breakfast show alongside co-host Jason King (JK), Amanda recounted that even after managing to carve out an hour at home with Hollie post-rehearsals with close pal for the dazzling Royal Variety Performance, the evening didn’t unfold as planned.
The 53 year old mum disclosed that Hollie was “super upset” but didn’t specify why, leaving Amanda baffled by her daughter’s temperament.
Amanda reflected: “I saw my daughter for an hour last night, she was super upset with me. I mean she’s upset with me about something anyway every day.”
She expressed her confusion, saying: “But you know when you’ve only got that hour to sort of go ‘I love you, okay yes I’m sorry for…you know, I don’t know what I did wrong last night to be honest, she’s at that age.”
Detailing their nighttime routine, she stated: “I got into bed with her for an hour, I gave her nice tickles, that’s what she likes, nice tickles on her arm. And then she had a row with me about something and you just go out of the room going ‘I rushed home, I’m knackered myself, I just want to go to bed and I’ve got a teenager”, reports .

Despite the squabble, Amanda and her daughter Hollie enjoyed a splendid time earlier in the week, gracing the red carpet at the UK premiere of Wicked at The Royal Festival Hall.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge certainly caught the eye in a skin-tight latex jumpsuit, yet suffered an awkward wardrobe malfunction that left her red-faced.

The mum-of-two humorously branded the jumpsuit “squelchy” as she made her way through the crowd at the start of the event, later sharing a chuckle over the incident with JK.
She recounted: “Oh my gosh, I was poured into that suit last night. I had to have, and I can’t use the word of the potion that was put in the suit to make sure I could squish into it.”
“It wasn’t talcum powder, it was a lubricant, and it was squeezed into my outfit and then I was squished, poured into it.”
“And then, naturally, when you begin to warm up, your own perspiration and shine contribute to that. So I was in a very squelchy, but snug [outfit], last night but probably the only one who was dressed for the weather.”
Amanda and her husband, record producer Chris Hughes, have two daughters; Alexa ‘Lexi’ Louise Florence and Hollie Rose. Tragically, their son Theo, who was stillborn in February 2011, died seven months into Amanda’s pregnancy.
