A Place In The Sun viewers were left seething as a picky buyer stormed out of a property without even giving it a chance.

The sun-soaked episode saw host Laura Hamilton accompany hopefuls Sally and her husband Tony on their quest to find the perfect retreat in Cyprus. With Sally’s sister-in-law Sharon already residing in Cyprus for seven years, they had inside knowledge and support on their journey – with Sharon stepping in for Tony.

Stationed in Peyia, a quaint city within easy reach of Paphos airport, the couple – armed with a budget of £125,000 – scoured the vicinity for a two-bedroom apartment or townhouse, and were open to spending another £25,000 for an idyllic spot complete with a communal pool and family-friendly spaces.

Yet the house hunt turned sour when Sally flat-out rejected one of the homes, not even deciding to explore it. And in another property, Sally – who was looking for a picturesque sea view – dismissed another potential home as she shied away from the top floor vantage point that showcased the vista as she was scared of heights, reports .

While touring a second property valued at £127,119, Sally confessed: “Property one I walked in and loved – but not this one,” eliciting a pragmatic response from Laura: “I don’t want you to waste time if you think this isn’t for you.”

Sally was firm in her decision not to view the property, and Sharon also declined, leaving Laura completely taken aback. Viewers were irate over Sally and Sharon’s remarks about the properties.

“Too scared to go up the stairs. What a pair of timewasters #aplaceinthesun,” one viewer commented, while another chimed in: “The fact that Sally can’t/won’t go up the staircase doesn’t bode well for this property does it #aplaceinthesun.”

A third wrote: “I think that ‘a tricky search’ is a bit of an understatement, Laura. #aplaceinthesun,” and a fourth added: “If she’s so scared of heights how did she manage to stand on the balcony #aplaceinthesun.”
