Bluetooth-powered object trackers abound these days, and it’s easy to see why — never before has such a simple and intuitive device absolved so many folks of one of life’s greatest headaches. With so many options available, it can be tricky to determine which one is best-suited for your unique objects, but there’s a tracker set that’s 20% off at Amazon right now that presents an excellent option for iPhone and Android users alike.
Tile, which is compatible with the Life360 app, is one of the more popular tracker brands out there, and can be used with both iOS- and Android-powered phones (unlike its competitor, Apple’s AirTag). What’s cool about this set is how smartly designed the pieces are: The smaller Mate tracker comes equipped with open slot for adding to a keychain or attaching to a zipper, and the credit card-sized Slim tracker is designed to fit into a wallet or billfold. The two different shapes offer a ton of versatility and, depending on where you place them, won’t require any additional hardware or holders that you might not already have on hand.
The water-resistant trackers promise a 350-foot Bluetooth range and a three-year battery life. You can find your attached devices by either prompting the Tile to ring (with a sound that reviewers describe as “nice and loud”) or to find its location on a map. (On the flip side, if you ever lose your phone, you can press the Tile button and your phone will play a tune as well!) The Life360 app that powers the device enables you to connect with other family members to keep tabs on their locations, and while there is a membership required, the baseline functionality is completely free. (You can also upgrade to paid memberships for added features.) The tracker is equipped with an SOS feature that will send emergency alerts to other family you’re connected with via Life360, and you can also use it to find a missing phone (two features that the AirTag does not provide).
This neat little set will make for a great stocking stuffer or just a convenient addition to your own life. HuffPost deputy managing editor, Marquaysa Battle, adores her Tile so much that she bought it for others as holiday gifts. “Embarrassingly, I lose my stuff A LOT and I lose my phone and keys the most,” she says. “I adore that I can use the Tiles to find my keys, phone and wallet. The app is super easy to use and I haven’t found any reason to upgrade to the paid one so it’s also free! I’ve since gifted these to my mom and brother too.”

“After misplacing my wallet and cancelling credit cards twice in last few months, someone recommended that I try the Tile. As you might suspect, I haven’t misplaced it since but if I do it won’t take me several days to find it! I also like feature that I can use the button on back to signal my phone even if it’s on silent mode. Highly recommend Tile for peace of mind and easy to find wallet and/or phone.” — Mary
They’ve been very helpful in recovery after Helene struck! I was able to find my wallet tracker and truck keys in the wreckage of my home. They’re tough. Good locaters.” – Bill Midkiff
“I’ve owned a tile before. Was wonderful for keeping up with my key’s. Tile slim was my first time having one. Left my wallet on top of my car at gas station. Drove off snd on a onramp. Lost my wallet. Using tile app plus reporting it lost. Got last known gps location. Had to walk up side of the on ramp but recovered my wallet and my cards. Was impressed actually since Life360 joined Tile. Highly recommend it.” — Adrien
