Liam Payne ‘s final charitable act will be to raise vital funds for children with cancer
s final act of kindness was revealed in the funeral order of service, which urged guests to donate to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, echoing his recent efforts to support fundraisers for sick children.
In a touching gesture, all funds will dedicated to building a new Children’s Cancer Centre.
The heartfelt message from Great Ormand street reads: “Thank you for your donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity in memory of our friend Liam Payne. Your donation today will continue Liam’s legacy by helping to build a brand new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
“This incredible new building will help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer.”
Payne, who died on October 16 after a fall from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, is being laid to rest at a church in the Home Counties.
Family and friends, including his former bandmates Harry Styles, , Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson, attended the private ceremony.

This emotional reunion marked the group’s first public appearance together since their final concert in 2015.
Other notable attendees included , Radio 2’s Scott Mills, and Marvin and Rochelle Humes. The mourners walked past floral displays of bowling pins and a ball, a touching nod to Payne’s well-known love of bowling.
The entrance to the church was beautifully decorated with candle lanterns and white roses placed among the surrounding shrubbery.
A source close to the family shared: “His family have gone to great lengths to put together the perfect service and give him the send-off he deserves. Liam may have been a global superstar, but to Geoff and Karen, he will always be their little boy. It is going to be an incredibly difficult day.”
Payne had been in Argentina in September to support former bandmate Niall Horan during a performance. He extended his stay to renew his visa for living in the U.S. but tragically passed away before returning home.

In a joint statement following Payne’s death, his bandmates expressed their devastation: “We are completely devastated. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.
“The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam – Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry.”
Harry Styles shared a separate emotional tribute on , writing: “His greatest joy was making other people happy and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it. Liam lived wide open, with his heart on his sleeve, he had an energy for life that was infectious.”
Louis Tomlinson added his own moving words, confessing he was “really struggling with the idea of saying goodbye.”
