A private funeral service for former One Direction member Liam Payne is taking place just outside of London on Nov. 20, more than one month after he died at the age of 31 following a fall from the third–floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, is among those who are on hand for the funeral, as are Payne’s fellow One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.
Damian Hurley, son of actor Elizabeth Hurley, is also in attendance. Simon Cowell, who discovered Payne on Britain’s “The X Factor,” is expected to be on hand as well.
Payne, who died Oct. 16, reportedly had multiple substances, including “pink cocaine,“ in his system at the time of his death, according to multiple outlets that cited preliminary toxicology results. Three people have been charged in connection with his death, Argentina’s public prosecutor announced in a statement earlier this month.
Prosecutor Andres Madrea’s office said that during the investigation into Payne’s death, “illicit conduct was discovered from which three people were charged with the crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death, supply and facilitation of narcotics.”
