Wynne Evans has made another controversial joke after his exit. The Welsh opera singer posted a message from what looked like his car as he offered an explanation for a “tongue in cheek” quip.
Speaking onto the camera on his account the singer said: “Just for a tiny bit of clarity, I’m not actually selling wooden spoons with my face on. It was… it’s a bit tongue in cheek.
“So the people who have sent me orders, I’m not going to be able to fulfil those. But thank you so much for the seven quid. Brilliant.”
Earlier in the day, the GoCompare TV advert star put a poll up on his Stories. He spoke into the camera as he said: “Right, I’ve just seen online on Amazon that you can buy a wooden spoon with my face on it.
“Firstly, no one asked me. Secondly, I’m not making any money out of it. Thirdly, who wants a wooden spoon with my face on?

“Can you just answer below, ‘do you want a wooden spoon with my face on?’ If so, I’ll get a load knocked up.” He pulled a face in distaste as he asked: “A wooden spoon?”
Wynne and his professional dance partner, , became the eighth couple to be eliminated from this weekend just gone.
Their Charleston capped off with a bold move Wynne whirlwinding Katya by her feet, but it wasn’t enough to keep them in the competition. They faced the dreaded dance-off opposite and Johannes Radebe.
In a unanimous verdict, the panel decided to keep Montell and Johannes in the competition, propelling them into the tenth week of Strictly’s celebratory 20th season, and sealing the departure for Wynne and Katya.

Earlier in the competition, Wynne and Katya were the subjects of ‘grope gate’ after an “inside joke” between the pair seemingly went very wrong.
He came under fire after it was noticed he placed his hand on Katya’s waist – which she immediately removed while on the live show.
Shortly afterwards, the duo took to social media to claim their exchange was simply an “inside” joke and wasn’t to be taken seriously. But the backlash Wynne received for it left him “heartbroken”.
