Many Brits are counting down to Christmas Day, with seasonal menus in coffee shops and this week snow falling across the country.

But for some, preparing for in November is just too soon.

The age old debate of when to put up the Christmas tree continues to rage, with many waiting until December 1 to decorate their homes.

Despite this, Christmas lights have been switched on in towns across the UK, and some – including TV star – have already decked out their homes with festive cheer.

While you can hold off on decorating your home as long as you like, if you venture to the shops or switch on the radio you may already have heard some seasonal songs.

Radio broadcasters have faced complaints about how early they have chosen to pay the festive classics, including Capital and Smooth Radio.
