It also honoured late music legend Quincy Jones, James Bond producer half-siblings Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson plus Love Actually creator Richard Curtis.
The festive film favourite’s Hugh Grant, 64, had the crowd in stitches with deadpan praise for Curtis, 68, who co-founded the Comic Relief charity.
He said: “A man who has taught us that love is all around…but so unfortunately, is his ceaseless altruism. While the rest of us sip cocktails…he’s raising millions for those in need. Congratulations, you utter b*****d!”
