‘s Stephanie Milligan’s alleged mum, Ruby, has been the subject of fan speculation following the character’s dramatic entrance into the soap.
Viewers were thrown a curveball with Georgia Jay’s spectacular debut as Stephanie last week, revealing she is the long-lost offspring of Caleb (William Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly). Stephanie’s name first came up months ago post the demise of Ruby’s mother Helen (Sharon Maughan).
Stephanie made quite the entrance on Friday’s episode (November 15), appearing in the village just as Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) nearly ended Caleb’s life. Yet it soon became apparent her visit was primarily motivated by her late grandmother Helen’s inheritance.
The upcoming week is expected to bring even more suspense as Stephanie and Ruby go head-to-head, resulting in a violent confrontation that unveils deep-seated animosities.
Nevertheless, intrigued fans are hypothesising a stunning DNA revelation, convinced that Ruby may not be Stephanie’s real mother after all.

Amidst online banter, enthusiasts are suggesting that village icon (Claire King) could actually be Stephanie’s biological mum, reports .
A fan expressed delight at the casting of Caleb and Ruby’s daughter on an Facebook fan page, while others couldn’t wait to divulge their transformative theories.
One viewer shared their prediction: “I’m saying it now is her real mother!’ Another remarked the resemblance and character traits between Stephanie and Kim, saying, “They do look very similar! And same ruthless behaviour too, you might be onto something! ” A different fan contemplated enthusiastically, “I would love this. Anything is possible!”

Georgia has previously discussed her character Steph’s storyline, revealing that she is set for an unhappy family reunion. According to Georgia, Steph returns to the village after a decade or so, and there is conflict between her mum Ruby and Caleb.
Georgia teased: “I can’t say too much about it, but it is an exciting storyline to be coming into, the past will be revealed of why she hasn’t been in the picture for so long.”
She further hinted at Steph’s intentions, saying: “I can say when she sees dad and mum for the first time, she’s not there to stay – it’s more ‘I want something then I’m going to leave’. She wants nothing to do with [it], and just wants to get the money and go.”
