fans went into overdrive after witnessing a poignant moment between DS Lisa Swain (Victoria Myers) and Carla Connor (Alison King), leaving fans on tenterhooks as the duo nearly kissed.
In the episode aired on Monday (October 7), it seemed things could not get any worse for Carla when Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) accidentally blurted out to a key client about Carla’s court appearance for ABH, while Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) disclosed to the same client that Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) was in Turkey.
Chaos continueed as Carla, already having a terrible day at the factory with the fuming client, found herself berating Betsy and Sally, oblivious that Tom, whose child she had hit with her car, had shadowed her from the courtroom to her workplace.
The tension was palpable as Tom confronted an unsuspecting Carla outside the factory.
DS Swain turned hero as she rescued Carla from a potentially perilous confrontation with Tom. Later, during an intense visit at Carla’s flat, Lisa and Carla shared a charged moment, culminating in Carla caressing Lisa’s face tenderly, leaving her emotionally turbid. One can only wonder if DS Swain shares the emotional tumult?
