A Brain Teaser Struggle

The viral video has already drummed up more than one million views and puts the spotlight on two puzzles. Each features an abstract, AI-generated image that holds the key to unlocking the names of iconic music artists.

In the first challenge, viewers are presented with an image of a chain set against the backdrop of a children’s playground. The girls in the clip initially hazard a guess at “Blink-81”, only for the quizmaster to query if they meant Blink-182. But regardless, that answer is wrong.

The quizmaster even gave some clues, noting that the band in question have recently released a new single with a new lead singer. The answer was, of course, Linkin Park – who the people guessing had never heard of! The band announced a comeback last month and revealed new music recorded with vocalist Emily Armstrong, following the tragic death of original frontman Chester Bennington.

A second brain-teaser depicted a massive “L” perched atop weighing scales beside a lavatory. Handing out an extra pointer, the quizmaster indicated it concerned a “famous musician” as opposed to a music group.

“There’s a big time play on words happening here,” he added.

The guessers managed to get this one much more easily, with one saying immediately: “.” It’s worth noting that “John” is a slang term for toilet in the US and Canada.
