After starring on the talent show as a coach for five series’ the pop star was left heartbroken when he was let go from the competition earlier this year.
Since the show’s premiere in 2012, it has seen a constant shift of different singers in its iconic red chairs.
This was also the case for Olly as the Troublemaker singer joined the panel in 2017 to replace Gavin Rossdale.
Despite being a fan-favourite, Olly didn’t return for this year’s instalment after he confirmed his unexpected exit in September 2023.

The 40-year-old’s axing didn’t come without feelings of dismay as he revealed that he received some stern advice from friends has helped him deal with the situation.
This included his former co-star and icon Tom, who revealed: “When Olly found out he wasn’t going to be on the show any more, we talked quite a bit.
“He didn’t want to leave. He loved doing the show. It definitely bothered him.”
The star continued: “I said to him, ‘It’s one of those things’. In life you can’t have it all your own way. You think things are going to go a certain way and then sometimes it doesn’t.”

Having experienced numerous setbacks throughout his long career in the entertainment industry, Tom understands what Olly is experiencing.
The 84-year-old shared: “I had a TV show years ago for ABC in America and it was doing well.
“I didn’t think it was going to end, but suddenly it was announced it was finishing. It got killed. I didn’t see it coming. But you’ve got to take the knock.”
