Fans slammed the Minions-themed performance
fans are slamming the latest group dance as utter “hell” after a chaotic performance for the launch of movie week.
Fans eagerly tuned in to the much-loved theme week as the cast stunned in their newest costumes and kicked off the show with an impressive group dance performance.
But almost immediately viewers were blasting it as “terrible” with one even saying it was “the worst four minutes of my life.”
“That opening sequence was like a migraine,” blasted one fan. Another penned: “Well that was the worst four minutes of my life.”
A third chimed in: “I can’t caption this. There are literally no words for what I have just seen. Nothing,” and: “Personal opinion but that might be my least favourite pro dance I think I’ve ever seen! That was truly truly terrible.”

Fans dubbed it the “worst opener ever”
The ensemble featured the cast dressed in bright yellow, paying homage to the beloved animation, Minions. As they tossed each other around, they danced energetically to YMCA, complete with the signature high-pitched voices of the minions voicing the track.
But fans were loving the amazing costumes, with judge wowing as Mary Poppins and looking unrecognizable as Jack Sparrow.
“Obsessed with Craig dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow,” gushed one fan.
Another echoed: “The costume of the week is defo Craig. He looks 25 years younger. Great work from the makeup department.”

Fans praised Shirley, gushing: “Shirley OMG!!!! (Mary Poppins was my childhood, this is ICONIC),” and “Shirley looks fabUlous as Mary Poppins tonight.”
Anton Du Beke looked fabulous as Zoolander and Motsi channelled Whitney Houston in The Bodyguard.
“Craig looks hot! Motsi is Queen of the Night! Anton rocking Zoolander, and a Minions opening number. These were not on my #Strictly bingo card, but I love it! Thank god it’s back,” praised one fan.
Another costume that won over viewers was as Mrs Doubtfire, with one fan saying: “ as Mrs Doubtfire could just about be the best thing I’ve seen in TV this weekend,” as another added: “Actually quite disturbed by how much like Mrs Doubtfire Wynne looks.”
Chris and Dianne soon took to the staged paying homage to classic movie Wayne’s World, with Chris rocking Wayne and Dianne dressed as Garth.
“It wasn’t my favourite dance from Chris and Dianne but I love the Wayne’s World theme and Dianne looks like Garth,” said one fan.
Tasha and Aljaz stunned with their moving Rumba performance with a Barbie theme with fans dubbing it “beautiful”.
A fan gushed: “Tasha and Aljaz’s rumba was so beautiful,” and “Tasha is a beautiful dancer…”
