As reported by North Korean state media KCNA, Kim took aim at South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol for threatening to end the regime in Pyongyang.
Kim said Yoon “bragged about overwhelming counteraction of military muscle and it was a great irony that caused the suspicion of being an abnormal man.”
Quoting Kim, KCNA added: “He affirmed that ‘if’ the enemy, seized with extreme foolishness and recklessness, attempt to use armed forces encroaching upon the sovereignty of the DPRK [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] … the DPRK would use without hesitation all the offensive forces it has possessed, including nuclear weapons.”
Kim made his remarks at a training base on Wednesday.
Yoon Suk Yeol said we could see the end of the North Korean regime
The North Korean leader’s comments came after Yoon warned Kim against using nuclear weapons.
Yoon said this would be met with “a resolute, overwhelming response from our military and the US alliance.”
He added: “That day will see the end of the North Korean regime.”
Kim said “the enemies’ threatening rhetoric, action, trick and attempt did not check the DPRK’s powerful military strength and will not take away our nuclear weapons forever.”
The CIA is looking for informants in North Korea, China, and Iran
With North Korea’s regime continuing to make threats, the CIA in the US is recruiting for informants in the country.
The CIA is also looking for informants in China and Iran. They posted an advert in Mandarin, Korean, and Farsi instructing people of how to contact them securely.
A CIA spokesperson said: “We want to make sure individuals in other authoritarian regimes know that we’re open for business.”
