Chaos ensued on This Morning as Ben Shephard exclaimed “it’s all fallen apart” following a segment that ended abruptly.
While presenting with co-host Cat Deeley, the duo attempted to connect live to Craig Doyle in the This Morning forest discussing the unconventional use of conkers as a cleaning hack. However, technical difficulties struck, leading to an impromptu termination of the chat with Craig.
Conkers, often lauded for their natural cleaning properties, became the focus before the link disastrously failed, prompting Ben to quip: “It’s all fallen apart, you rub a couple of conkers together and that’s what happens.”
Craig was in the thick of an interview with an expert showing how to use conkers for household cleaning involving blending and straining them when viewers were suddenly cut off.
As the segment ended, Cat Deeley joked, “I’m not sure what he’s sniffed there, but he’s put us right off! “, while Ben struggled to re-establish contact with their colleague. With time to spare, the pair showed previews of upcoming segments and launched into the competition offering, reports .

During the broadcast, Cat and Ben also chatted with ‘s and his dance partner Dianne Buswell about their current journey on the programme.
In a candid revelation, Dianne shared that her dad initially doubted their chances in the contest but has now been convinced otherwise by their performances.
She said: “He definitely wasn’t disappointed but I think, along with a lot of other people, they kind of thought, ‘You’re going to have a lovely time but it might not last that long.’ Because we just didn’t know how it was all going to work.”
“He thinks that Chris is going to be there, they’re coming over in November. But he’s convinced he’s going to watch us live dance. He’s absolutely loving it. He calls me almost every day.”

In a different segment on This Morning, Deirdre emphasised the importance of regular health checks after her breast cancer made an unwelcome return.
Earlier in the week, Deirdre expressed: “Unfortunately, I’ve got to have a lumpectomy followed by radiotherapy. I feel lucky, it’s been caught early and the treatment is happening very rapidly.”
“This is all on the NHS so I think I am so lucky. It could be so much worse. To be honest, the symptoms I had the first time were a coincidence and not actually a symptom of the cancer as it turns out. An efficient GP put me on the cancer pathway and I got a very rapid check and treatment. I’ve felt well, I haven’t felt tired or run down. I couldn’t feel anything, it’s very tiny so there’s nothing to feel. It’s purely down to the mammogram which showed it up. I had an ultrasound and a biopsy and it revealed it was cancer.”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
