Stephen Colbert Flips JD Vance’s Debate Tactic On Donald Trump: ‘Mushroom Penis’

Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night took a page out of Republican JD Vance’s vice presidential debate playbook to mock GOP nominee Donald Trump.

Colbert, in a live show following the head-to-head between Vance and Democratic rival Tim Walz, noted how “at one point Vance tried to turn one of Trump’s most despicable immigration policies, the child separation, back against Kamala Harris.”

“The real family separation policy in this country is unfortunately Kamala Harris’ wide open southern border,” Vance declared.

Colbert wasn’t having it.

“Nice try!” the “Late Show” host commented, then using Vance’s tactic to taunt Trump over his alleged affair with adult actor Stormy Daniels when his wife, Melania Trump, had just given birth to their son, Barron.

“The real cheating on his wife with a porn star is Kamala Harris’ immigration policy,” said Colbert, adding: “Tragically her southern border is the one with the mushroom penis.”

Colbert elsewhere in his monologue repeatedly dinged Vance with several other observations about his performance and then concluded:

In the end, it was 90 minutes of constant talk that made one thing clear. It was like having Thanksgiving with your most nervous uncle and your smuggest nephew. It was unpleasant, awkward and thankfully you only have to do it once every four years.
