Royal residences are often key tourist destinations, but now is opening up one of his favourites for a unique experience.

, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, will give you the chance to dine like a royal for the first time.

In an announcement from the estate, ‘An Evening at Balmoral’ will cost £250 per person and welcome guests for a seven-course meal.

Guests will have an exclusive tour of the residence before their meal, with dishes inspired by the seven rooms seen on the tour.

The event will be hosted on select dates in November and December, and locally sourced produce will be used for a “specially curated” dining experience.

One of the dishes on offer includes a Hunting Stewart treacle tart with homemade trifle. Guests will also get to try herb-crusted Balmoral Estate venison loin, local cheeses and Balmoral whisky.

This summer Balmoral offered interior tours priced at £100 which sold out within 24 hours. It was the first time the castle had been made open to the public since it was built in 1855.

The webpage for this winter’s event reads: “Join us for a special ‘Evening at Balmoral’ this winter. On arrival you will be greeted by a traditional piper before experiencing an exclusive Castle Interior Tour.

“Following the tour you can then enjoy a specially curated seven course fine dining experience, inspired by the seven rooms you visit on the Castle Interior Tour.

“The meal will be complimented with paired wines and live music, served in our recently redesigned restaurant, creating a truly memorable experience.”

The iconic royal estate is where chose to spend her final moments, and is a favoured residence of the Royal Family.

Speaking to Scottish Parliament at the end of September, King Charles said: “My late mother especially treasured the time spent at Balmoral, and it was there, in the most beloved of places, where she chose to spend her final days.”

And Charles has followed in his mother’s footsteps, spending his summer holiday there this year.
