Emmerdale delivered a shocking death twist in Wednesday’s episode, yet viewers are suspicious that Moira Dingle might be the victim of foul play.
In the dramatic scenes, Matty Barton and Mack Boyd grew concerned when they found several lifeless sheep on the farm, leading them to summon the local veterinary services.
When vet Vanessa Woodfield arrived, she dealt Moira a crushing blow, declaring most of the sheep were dead with one in critical condition. Upon being questioned if the sheep had been near a particular trough, Moira confirmed their usual feeding routine just for son Matty to interject that it was his mother, not he, who had fed them.
Vanessa then pointed out paint around the mouth of the sheep and that same paint was on the hay in the trough, sparking more concern. In spite of Moira’s admission that she was painting fences earlier, she vehemently denied any negligence that would endanger her livestock.
Nevertheless, physical evidence seemed to suggest otherwise, causing bewilderment and anguish for Moira, reports .

The turmoil continued as Moira made a heart-wrenching call later on to temporarily cease working due to her ongoing health struggles. A distraught Moira expressed the depth of her despair: “If I can’t work what else am I supposed to do? This tumour is taking away everything – my job, my independence, I don’t even know who I am anymore…”
Gripped by sorrow and fear for putting more lives in danger, Moira tearfully decided to halt her working life, confessing: “It’s the only way.”
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to react to the storyline with some soap watchers convinced that Moira was being set up and she wasn’t actually responsible for the sheep deaths.
