Clothes can take days to dry during the colder seasons and it can be a big annoyance
Keeping on top of laundry during the colder seasons can be a major annoyance as it takes ages to dry indoors which means it can pile up quickly.
Getting clothes dried quickly can stress anyone out but those with big families that need to wash their clothes every day can start to feel overwhelmed.
What’s more, many people do not want to have a tumbler dryer or dehumidifier constantly as it can cause energy bills to skyrocket as at a time they are already costly.
However, , an organisational expert, has a “really easy way to dry clothes fast” that does not require a pricey gadget or using any electricity as all you need is a towel.
Caroline said: “Lay a towel down flat, place your wet garments at the base. We going to do the burrito method.”

This burrito towel technique will help clothes dry quickly so laundry does not pile up this autumn
The burrito towel technique is a laundry trick that removes excess water from freshly washed clothes so it will air dry at a much faster rate rather than if it was left wet.
Pressing out of the water also helps avoid wrinkling the clothes as you are not stretching the fabric in any way so your clothes will also keep their shape.
How to dry laundry quickly using the burrito towel method
All you need to do is take a dry towel and lay it flat on any clean surface such as a table or the floor.
Then place the wet clothing item on top of the towel and spread it out.
At one end, grab the towel and clothing item together and begin rolling up both items together like you would a burrito.
Once both the towel and clothing item are rolled up, gently apply pressure to the towel to allow it to absorb any excess moisture.
Caroline said: “You’re going to press down on the towel with your knees to really wring out the moisture, and roll it.
“You can just hang the shirt on the drying rack. It will dry a couple of hours now instead of overnight.”
This is a great way to save energy and time so you can keep on top of laundry during the chilly weather, but you can also simply use a hair dryer if you really need an item of clothing quickly.
Caroline added: “It’s a great method to try if you’re travelling and you can wash something or if you don’t have a dryer at home your dryer is broken so happy, drying!”
