A diner served up unexpected counter-programming on “Fox & Friends” Wednesday, saying that Republican Sen. JD Vance (Ohio) lied the entire vice presidential debate. (Watch the video below.)
Co-host Lawrence Jones surveyed an obviously pro-Republican breakfast crowd that picked Vance as the winner ― but he found one outlier.
So Jones asked her why she thought Democrat Tim Walz had won.
“Because he’s very articulate. He knows his facts,” she replied.
Vance, she said, “told untruths.”
“He lied throughout the whole entire debate last night,” the woman continued, noting comments about abortion as one example. “What he said was untrue. … Everything was not true.”
Even if the conservative morning show seems to advertise its restaurant remotes several days in advance, the segments do go in unexpected directions from time to time. But at least Jones followed up.

As for the woman’s claim that Vance prevaricated profusely, HuffPost heartily agreed.
Vance fibbed about energy production, the Affordable Care Act and child care policy, in addition to abortion, we reported.
The customer did not deny the perception of many that Vance won the debate. “I think it is because he has had more experience on the public stage and in debating,” she said. “And Tim Walz is just your guy next door.”
