It sounds like Ann Coulter is a little too eager for vice presidential candidate JD Vance to take the reins of the Republican Party.
Online, the right-wing pundit was practically fawning over the Ohio senator amid Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate, and seemed to wonder when GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s time will be up.
“WOW, VANCE IS GOOD. Cool as a cucumber,” Coulter wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “What’s the life expectancy for a 78 YO man?”

Apparently, the 78-year-old man in question is none other than Trump, who would become the oldest president ever inaugurated if elected in November.
(Democrat Joe Biden was about 78 years and 2 months old during his presidential inauguration back in 2021. Trump will be about 78 years and 7 months old in January 2025.)
Coulter has not been shy about her distaste for Trump, calling him an “awful, awful person” during an interview on C-Span’s “Washington Journal” in August. But the conservative commentator also said on the program that she’ll still be voting for Trump this year.
Tuesday night was not the first time that Coulter has joked about Trump’s death.
Previously, when an X user wondered what the former president could do “to help us take America back,” she replied, “Maybe he could die?”
