A man is using an UberEats hack to get dozens of bags of sweets for much cheaper than they are sold in stores.

Darryl John, from County Durham, revealed the tip had let him place huge orders on the app with a whopping 39 bags of Haribos and Moams picked up for .

The 35-year-old’s luck does not stop there as even though the bags were listed as 140g per item, they were in fact 175g bags, with Darryl now revealing how he went about bagging the bargain on the delivery app.

The hack comes at the perfect time as people begin prepping chocolates and sweets for Halloween.

Also they can still use the series of discount codes and locations Darryl suggested.

Speaking to What’s The Jam, Darryl said: “UberEats 50% off and UberOne free trial, One Stop. Only the Moam were 140g, the rest 175g.”

Savvy shopper Darryl has since shown a price breakdown following his sweet treat haul, with the 35-year-old managing to save an impressive £15.51 on his order from One Stop.

The series of offers given out by UberEats not only cut down prices for the food items but also slashed his delivery free, which was made free with his first purchase on the new account.

Using the UberOne free trial, Darryl received a £0.94p discount and free delivery, which without the discount would have cost him £5.16. A further promotion of 50% off from UberEats was used also and reduced the total further, discounting the overall price by a whopping £9.41.

Sharing his haul to a group dedicated to bargain hunting across the UK, people praised Darryl’s handy discount but said they would never have managed to keep themselves from eating all the sweets at once.

Kayleigh wrote: “Toothache coming soon. Seriously though I couldn’t ever have a stash like this in my house, kids would find them and demolish them.” Christine said: “What about a tip for the driver.”

“Good to make up bags for Halloween,” Sarah added. Hayley thanked Darryl and shared a photo of her own sweets, after following his advice: “Thanks for the heads up. Kids party bags sorted.”

“Thank you just ordered 70 bags,” added Emma.
