has come back from the summer with a renewed vigour, embarking on a series of solo work engagements in a bid to showcase his charities and patronages and relaunch his personal brand.

But his whirlwind trip to the UK only serves to reinforce just how isolated he is from his family.

The Duke has spent no time with any of the Firm so far, and he’s not expected to either.

The King is spending his final few days in Balmoral before travelling to London for a small number of engagements ahead of his trip to Australia and Samoa later this month.

And his brother is continuing his tried and tested strategy of radio silence.

For William, reconciling with his brother is just not on his radar – and is unlikely to be for some time.

His priorities lie with his family, especially as the Princess of Wales continues to focus on staying cancer-free after completing her chemotherapy and his work.

Meeting up with Harry, who repeatedly made attacks against him and his wife in his many TV interviews, memoir and documentary, is not something he’s willing to prioritise.

One well-placed source suggested that William might never make time for his brother again, as he views Harry’s attacks as unforgivable.

Harry however has made no secret of his desire to make amends with his family, declaring in an interview in February: “I love my family.”

But it appears that a few fleeting trips home are not enough to make up for the litany of attacks he and his wife have hurled at the Royal Family in the four years since stepping down.

Don’t miss… [DETAILS]

Some insiders have suggested that an apology needs to be forthcoming, however, trust is at the heart of the issue.

As all the while Harry and Meghan continue to make appearances on TV and speak out on private family matters, the Palace walls will stay firmly shut.

Many aides have not forgotten that Harry’s camp leaked details of the King’s private phone call with his son to mark his 75th birthday last November.

So while the duke is focused on relaunching his brand, it would perhaps be more prudent to spend time patching up his relationship with his family.

Such a move would surely pay dividends to his severely damaged reputation.
