Prince Harry is returning to the UK for the WellChild Awards
‘s next moves will be to step back from Hollywood, a royal commentator has claimed. Tom Sykes has spoken about the Duke of Sussex wanting to come away from and its associated fame.
This, he said, could aid him into becoming more of a quasi-royal by reconciling with his family. He said in : “Speaking to sources close to Harry, it’s quite clear that he wants to leave behind the celebrity nonsense, recover his reputation as an honest dealer and become known as a serious philanthropic player.”
He claimed sources have “made clear he does not want his old royal life back”, and that he actually “adores California sunshine, his wife, and family.”
But professionally, the glitz and glamour of A-list is not the avenue the Duke of Sussex would like to take, Mr Quinn said. “He undoubtedly would like to reoccupy the space he briefly held on stage at the Clinton Initiative, and will hold again at WellChild.
“However, it’s going to be incredibly difficult to transform back into a credible quasi-royal unless he reconciles with the crown.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
If Charles was to open Harry back into the royal fold, the move would be welcomed more than many may think, he said. He claimed “the reservoir of affection for Diana’s boy is deep.”
Harry will need to switch away from his narrative role in order to reconcile, he added. The Duke will get a chance to showcase his charity work at the WellChild Awards taking place today in London.
Harry has been a patron of the charity, which works to help children with serious health issues be cared for at home, for more than 15 years.

He may also aim to see his father, King Charles, during his trip back to the UK. The King is currently in Scotland, “gathering strength” for his upcoming trip to Australia.
Sykes said that for Harry, “there is no meaningful rehabilitation as a royal without reconciliation” – meaning he will need to make nice with both his father and brother, .
Harry and Meghan also have two upcoming shows in production. The first is “on the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship”, curated by Meghan; the second is about the world of professional polo, which will draw on Harry’s strengths.
