Amazon Kindle
It’s been a long time coming but it seems could finally be about to release an all-new Kindle. As spotted by the eagle-eyed team at , it appears that Amazon’s popular entry-level e-reader is getting a pretty big refresh. This update, which might be confirmed as soon as October 1, could bring a better 6-inch back-lit screen to this device – that means owners will see the brightness boosted by a whopping 25 percent. If true, this new Kindle will be much easier to use when the sun goes down and the lights get low.
As well as being brighter, it appears that text will also be easier to read thanks to a more paper-like feel and rumours suggest that it will offer faster page turns and a resolution of 300PPI.
Although the design looks very similar to previous Kindles, it might come in an eye-catching green colour which is a nice boost to the basic, and very bland, black.
Other features could include 16GB of storage – which should be ample to keep all of your books – plus a battery that looks set to last a whopping 8 weeks on a single charge.
Amazon Kindle update
If all the speculation is correct, we should know full details in the coming days but expect it to cost under £100 when it is finally confirmed.
October could be a busy month for Amazon shoppers with the online retailer also announcing the launch of a new sale event.
Its will begin in October 8 and last for a full 48 hours with devices from Amazon, LG, Sony, Bose, Tefal, Braun, Philips, GHD, Shark, Microsoft and Oral B all expected to be discounted.
If those prices look enticing then there are only a few weeks to go until the big sale kicks off. Just be aware that you will need to be a Prime member to take advantage which usually costs £8.99 per month. Luckily, there is a neat trick to try that offers this plan for free.
As long as you haven’t been a Prime member for a while you can sign up now and get a full 30 days for free. That will allow you to take advantage of the deals. Then once the sale is over you can simply cancel and not get charged a penny.
