Tourists flock to the small of Zia, Kos, Greece, every evening to see the sunset.
The tiny town is located in the mountains with views of the surrounding towns and seaside views below.
To reach , the only way to get there is by car – tourist offices offer coach trips for around €12 per person. For this price, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and dropped off at and then picked up again a few hours later and taken back to your hotel.
It’s worth noting that taxis to the area are not always reliable with wait times varying from 15 minutes to an hour.

You’ll only need a few hours to see as the mountainous village is only small. You’ll find an array of souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and bars with incredible views of the scenery below.
To make the most of your trip, visit from around six to nine in the evening which will allow you to catch the sunset, see the mountains and have dinner in the area before browsing the shops.

The crowds can take away from the peacefulness of watching the sunset but nonetheless it is a great little place to visit and has a unique charm. It lies at the foot of , the highest mountain of Kos island, that culminates at 846m above sea level.
