Express Sport brings you all the latest
The final of the British Open Snooker takes place today, with and set to battle it out for the £100,000 jackpot.
Selby overcame Mark Allen 6-3 in a tight semi-final clash to book his spot in the final for the second consecutive year. The world No. 5 was beaten by Mark Williams in the 2023 final but heads into this afternoon’s event in good form and will be hopeful that he can land the title for the first time in his career.
Selby will need to be at very best to fend off the challenge of Higgins though, who cruised to a 6-0 win over Oliver Lines to keep his hopes alive of becoming the joint-most successful player in the history of the tournament after winning the competition four times previously.
