In a conversation with Harper’s Bazaar picked up by news outlets in August last year, Darren McGrady said it meant , 11, , nine, and , six, sat separately from the royal couple at special holidays and official dinners.
Mr McGrady, who worked for both the late and , previously said the children “aren’t allowed to sit with the adults until they have learned the art of polite conversation”.
There were no exceptions to the rule, including for larger holidays like Christmas, he claimed.

Mr McGrady explained that nannies play an important role in the life of young royals: “The royal nursery wasn’t just for educating the minds of the young royals but educating their palates, too,” he told the outlet.
“Nanny always had control of the menu and made sure they ate balanced meals that included not only lots of healthy vegetables but introduced them to new grown-up dishes too,” he said.
Ensuting and ate their greens wasn’t always easy he claimed, revealing the two boys were bribed into eating veg at royal meal times.
When that didn’t work, says he managed to sneak vegetables into their diets by hiding in their favourite dishes.
