fans are abuzz with speculation that Cain Dingle, portrayed by Jeff Hordley, could be the one to take the fall for Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) after she stabbed her husband Tom King (James Chase) with an axe.
In an electrifying instalment last Friday, viewers watched as a panic-stricken Belle charged towards the hospital, desperate to learn whether her spouse had survived. In parallel, Vinny (Bradley Johnson) and Sam (James Hooton) scrambled to prevent her from making any rash decisions.
Amidst her confusion, a desperate Belle sought clarity, exclaiming: “What is going on?” only to encounter Vinny’s stern warning: “You shouldn’t be here.”
While anxiously inquiring about Tom’s fate, Sam expressed his bleak aspirations candidly, voicing: “That would be the best for all of us.”
With unwavering determination, Belle insisted: “I need to go in there,” trying to sidestep her kin. Yet Vinny pleaded with her: “You need to go home, I am begging you, Belle,” reports .

As Belle made strides to advance, Sam tried to hold her back, urging caution: “Vinny is right, you are going to blow everything.”
Confronted with the gravity of her situation, Belle disclosed to Sam with a sorrow-laden heart: “I already have, haven’t I, Sam? If Tom dies, that is another life I have taken, how do I live with myself?”
She further agonised over the bleak scenarios before her, expressing: “And if he survives, if he lands me in it, then my life is over. So whatever happens I am screwed.”
Belle Dingle stabbed Tom in the back
Belle’s heartache was palpable as she cried out in distress: “He has won, hasn’t he?”
Following Tom’s stabbing, viewers have been eager to conjecture whether Belle is the culprit, and if indeed she is, might one of the Dingles sacrificially face justice in her stead?
Despite indications that Cain would be travelling to Scotland to visit their father, speculation is rife amongst fans who suspect that the Dingle patriarch may serve time for Belle if necessary.
Cain has been to jail for his son before, so could history end up repeating itself?
On a Facebook fan page, a viewer proposed: “I think Cain will take the rap and do the sentence.”
While another noted Cain’s alleged trip to Scotland, a theory was suggested: “For now, I think he will come back with the news Zac is dead and he will learn about Belle and admit it was him.”
Adding to the intrigue, yet another fan pondered, “I wonder would it be Cain?”
