Broadstairs is mostly unspoiled by modern life in that there are still quite a lot of independent shops. Broadstairs has sandy beaches and is magically beautiful.
“It is well worth trying to catch the folk week with all the joys of the procession, the dancers, and the music. This is Dickens’ county and indeed here is Bleak House where Dickens would sit in his study looking out to sea and where he wrote Bleak House. We love Broadstairs.”
A second user shared: “Viking Bay is the main seaside bay in the centre of Broadstairs seafront. It has wonderful views at all times, summer or winter.
“There are so many birds to see, but be careful of your food. It can get very busy as a place to lay in the sun, or swim in the sea. Some equipment is there too, for you to hire, such as swings, trampolines etc. At the top of the bay are cafes, bars, old buildings etc. The road leading down to the bay is also interesting to visit.”
