Strictly’s Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s outfits leave fans saying same thing

Followers of the show couldn’t help but comment that the pair looked like the characters Glinda and Elphaba from the musical, Wicked.

One person said: “tess & claud look like elphaba and glinda its kinda slaying #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly.”

A second person commented: “Tess and Claudia feeling a bit of Elphaba and Glinda tonight? #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly.” As a third typed: “Close enough, welcome back Elphaba and Glinda #Strictly #SCD #StrictlyComeDancing.”

Following last week’s launch for the 22nd series (September 14), figures indicated the first show was watched by almost a million fewer viewers than 2023.

An average of 5.5million viewers tuned in between 7.20pm and 9pm, in comparison to 6.2million for the launch show last year.

and Amy Dowden topped the leaderboard last week with an impressive score of 31 points. They were followed closely by and Vito and and Aljaz, both with 30.

Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the scoreboard were and Neil Jones with just 12. They were just beaten by and Jowita with 17 points and and Luba with 18.

Nick was recently given the all clear by doctors after he injured his shoulder earlier this week when he changed a tyre on his Range Rover.

The DIY SOS presenter faced an anxious wait to be declared fit and only got the green light on Thursday, meaning he’s had just two days to learn his dance routine.

Speaking of his relief, Nick said to his fans on : “We’ve had an interesting couple of days, full of scans and physios and people helping me. Everyone’s been amazing.

“Thank you for all your messages of support. We will see you all on Saturday where we’ll be dancing the American Smooth to ‘Park Life’ by Blur.”
