Phillip Schofield’s chances of an I’m A Celebrity appearance have been discussed
Last week, the idea of “disgraced” returning to TV at all seemed unlikely – but now, following the announcement about his new TV series, he’s tipped for too.
The ex- host announced earlier this week that he’d be hitting the nation’s TV screens from a remote desert island where he spent ten days in isolation without bringing “any food or water”. The aim was to do some soul searching and rediscover himself following the “ill-advised” affair with a much younger man which had seen him axed from
Besides watching the resulting show, Castaway, fans – or simply those who are curious – might be able to see him in the Australian jungle next, chomping on creepy crawlies and embarking on arduous Bushtucker Trials. have given him odds of 3/1 to head onto I’m A Celebrity as the next stage in his career comeback.
It’s a move that’s already been attempted by former Health Secretary , who infuriated the nation when news of his affair – and how he’d broken his own lockdown rules – was made public. Boy George was so disgusted by having to share space with him in the jungle that he threatened to walk out, but he did manage to capture the hearts of some as he asked for forgiveness.
Could Phillip have a similar experience? spokesman Lee Astley certainly thinks so.

“When it was announced that would return to our screens on his show, Cast Away, questions have been asked on what he’ll appear on next, with a trip to the jungle this winter the most likely destination,” he explained.
“A stint on has been tipped at 3/1 should Schofield want another survival challenge, with an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother slightly adrift at 6/1.
“Should Schofield want to redeem his presenting career in some capacity, he’s been tipped to present on Channel 5 at 5/1, Channel 4 at 12/1, while a fresh gig with former co-host looks unlikely at 66/1.”
Other suggestions are that he could appear on ‘s psychological thriller series when it next returns to TV, with odds of 9/1.

Phillip Schofield will make his Castaway debut on Monday
He might have trouble convincing others that he’s a Faithful, due to his past history which could pit some former fans against him from day one.
However, there are other options, with Lee telling us that he believes he could start his own talk show (6/1), appear on (10/1) or get his own radio show (14/1).
Even appearing on , the show he once hosted alongside Holly Willoughby, isn’t totally out of the question, with odds of 16/1.
However, it’s unlikely that he’ll be back on This Morning, as the chances are rated at just 50/1.
