People Mock RFK Jr.’s Claim That Democrats Spent Millions To Make Him Look ‘Crazy’

LOADINGERROR LOADING

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made a bold claim about the Democratic Party on Friday that led to him being roundly ridiculed on social media.

During a Donald Trump rally in Walker, Michigan, the former-independent-presidential-candidate-turned-Trump-superfan offered an interesting theory about why he had to suspend his own campaign last month.

And if you guessed that it smacks of a “conspiracy,” then congratulations!

During the speech, Kennedy claimed that the Democratic Party “spent tens of millions of dollars… to make me look like a crazy person.”

Certainly it’s possible that the Democratic Party did spend some money targeting Kennedy in the early days of his campaign. But many people on social media noted that Kennedy didn’t really need any outside help to give the impression that he was, let’s say, a bit of an oddball.

For instance, Democratic strategist Ally Sammarco reminded people of some of the many not-normal things Kennedy has done, including picking up a dead bear and dumping it in Central Park, admitting to having had a parasitic worm in his brain, and, oh yeah, all the massive anti-vaccine disinformation.

Crazy things RFK Jr. did without prompting:

– Picked up a dead bear and dumped it in Central Park
– Posed with a dead dog carcass
– Admitted to having worms in his brain
– Spread insane anti-vax disinformation
– Said he’s “not a Church boy” in response to sexual assault… https://t.co/YjjcQEFPJr

Other people chimed in about the Democrats’ supposed nefarious tactics, and it may not surprise you to learn there was snark. Lots and lots of snark.

Yes, it’s was called Operation: Just Listen To Him

The decapitating the dead whale thing and the dead bear thing might have contributed to some of that.

Hey, buddy, you did that all on your own. https://t.co/bUhy3V3ePR

Let’s not give them too much credit… You did a lot of the work yourself.
