The Princess of Wales, 42, also revealed she hopes to undertake “a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can”, and returned to work at Windsor Castle this week, reports.
James, 37, was asked about how the future Queen was doing as he appeared on USA Today to promote his new book, Meet Ella.
“She’s doing ok,” James, a father-of-one, told the news programme, adding: “It’s not for me to share on her behalf, you know, how everything’s going.
“But she’s getting all the right support and focus that she needs,” he said, adding that “like anything, it takes time to process”.
