The Princess of Wales went to the ballet today
privately attended the English National Ballet’s matinee performance of Giselle at Sadlers Wells this afternoon.
Kate enjoyed the performance so much she shared a message on social media, which read: “Congratulations and thank you to ENBallet and @Sadlers_Wells for the wonderfully powerful, moving and inspiring performance of Akram Khan’s Giselle. Creativity at its best! C.”
The message was signed off with a “C” – meaning Catherine – which indicates the personal nature of the post.
No pictures of her trip to the ballet have been released by Kensington Palace but it’s another reassuring sign that she is returning to good health.
Earlier this month she and was hoping to attend a number of public engagements in the coming months.
A week later she held her first official meeting of the year at Windsor Castle, and at Westminster Abbey.
Congratulations and thank you to and for the wonderfully powerful, moving and inspiring performance of Akram Khan’s Giselle. Creativity at its best! C

In her deeply personal video message earlier this month, Kate said: “I am, however, looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.
“Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.”
On Sunday, Kate was seen in public for the first time since her cancer treatment ended.
She joined her husband the Prince of Wales and the King and Queen at Crathie Church near their Balmoral estate in Scotland.
The princess is expected to join members of the Royal Family at the Cenotaph on November 10 for Remembrance Sunday, though a decision will not be made until nearer the time.
It is hoped that she will return to some in-person royal engagements before the New Year.
