Pictured enjoying a glass of , Duchess Sophie visited Kent to toast the opening of the family-run Domaine Evremond Winery in Canterbury.The was all smiles as she unveiled a brown plaque in the picturesque green vineyard which stated she had “officially opened the Domaine Evremond Winery on 26th September 2024”.Dressed in a double-breasted heritage grey blazer and duck egg blue shirt, the Duchess stunned in her ensemble as she was taken on a tour of the vineyard, alongside meeting the family behind the drinks business. Domaine Evremond states on their website that in Kent, famously known as ‘The Garden of England’, they can make a “high-quality premium sparkling wine” and that the combination of soil, climate, topography and time are perfect to achieve this.

The Domaine Evremond Winery is a new vineyard founded in 2017 by Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger of Champagne Taittinger and Patrick McGrath of Hatch Mansfield with their first edition of Domaine Evremond ‘Classic Cuvée’ due for release in Spring 2025.
The winery is essentially a unique partnership between Taittinger, one of France’s best-known houses, and their UK partner, Hatch Mansfield.
After the Duchess of Edinburgh’s visit to the British vineyard, fans flocked to social media to comment on her royal engagement. X user, @donnastelzer13, wrote: “Beautiful, strong woman. My second favorite royal, although I have Princess Anne right up with her.”Another added: “Wow Sophie’s had a very full diary lately.”One user wrote: “She does look lovely! An analysis of the court circular, the official record of royal engagements shows that Sophie has doubled her workload in the past year.
So far this month, Sophie has carried out 37 engagements – compared to 18 engagements in September 2023.

The day before, on September 25, Duchess Sophie, 59, showed her cuddly side as she visited Mane Chance Sanctuary, a horse rescue charity in Surrey, and she even had the chance to hold a rescue chicken called ‘Stumpy’. enjoyed meeting the animals and even got to feed one of the horses alongside meeting students completing their Duke of Edinburgh awards.
